// 02 · what's at stake

A national chain will file your return without ever knowing your situation. A local-only firm may not have IRS-representation rights. We sit in the middle — based in Lakeland, enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS, working with people we'll see at the same coffee shop next week.

tax issues we address for this audience
01

Florida-specific filings.

No state income tax for individuals; FL Sales Tax for businesses; tangible personal property tax for entities holding equipment. We file the Florida-side filings most general accountants overlook.

02

Snowbird and dual-state filings.

Part-year FL/NY, FL/IL, FL/OH residents are the heart of our individual practice. Domicile arguments, source rules, credit for taxes paid — all handled.

03

Polk County context.

Local businesses we serve weekly: contractors, real-estate professionals, medical practices, restaurants, citrus-adjacent ag. We know the local context, the local banks, and the local courts.

Pricing, on the page.

Published prices · Quoted in writing before any work starts
Households
from$650
Individual Essential: one household return, one state, investment sales. Each extra state is $100, each rental $225, each incoming K-1 $125.
Self-employed
from$950
Your Schedule C and your household return in one annual fee. Half at engagement, half before filing.
Business owners
from$2,850
Your entity return and your household return, both included. Each additional entity is $2,275.
IRS help
from$400
Notices, audits and back taxes are quoted and paid upfront, never inside a package.

How it works: one annual fee, half paid at engagement and half before your return is filed. Everything past the package baseline is a published add-on at a fixed price, so nobody counts forms. Books, payroll and sales tax are the only monthly items, because they are the only monthly work. See the full grid and every add-on or get your price in a minute.

// 06 · about cody

One practitioner. Every file, personally led.

Cody is an IRS Enrolled Agent with an MBA — a solo practitioner with a small support team, working out of Lakeland, Florida. He is also currently in law school.

Every client engagement is led by Cody personally. The firm stays deliberately small so the work stays deliberately careful — and so when the IRS calls, the person who picks up is the person who filed your return.

Common questions.

If yours isn't here, ask it on the intake — we read every one before the first call.

Q01

Are you in Lakeland?

Yes. Our office is at 122 E Main St, near the Lake Mirror Center. We work mostly through the portal, but we meet in person on request, and most new business clients come in once.

Q02

Do you only work with Lakeland clients?

No. As an Enrolled Agent, Cody is enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states. Roughly half of our individual practice is in Polk County, and the other half is everywhere else.

Q03

Can you handle my multi-state situation?

Yes. Snowbirds, remote workers and multi-state contractors are common here. The filings differ, but the patterns repeat.

Q04

Do you do bookkeeping in person?

No. Bookkeeping runs in Xero or QuickBooks Online, both in the cloud. We meet for planning, not for receipts.

Q05

What's your turnaround at tax time?

Two to three weeks for individual returns once intake is complete, and longer in March. Get in by mid-February if you want to avoid the extension queue.

Q06

Do you take new clients?

Yes, year-round. We cap intake during March. Outside March, it takes about a week from inquiry to first call.
