An Enrolled Agent prepares returns, plans, and is enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all fifty states. This page exists so you can decide in two minutes whether that is what you were looking for.
Most people who search for a CPA mean an accountant, and for tax work the letters on the wall change nothing about what gets filed. Some people search for a CPA because a lender, an investor or a franchisor asked for audited or reviewed financial statements. That is attest work, it is CPA-only, and we cannot do it. Five minutes here saves you a wasted phone call in either direction.
Enrolled Agents and CPAs both prepare and sign federal and state returns as paid preparers. Nothing about your 1040, 1120-S or 1065 changes based on which credential prepared it.
Entity choice, the S corp election, reasonable compensation, quarterly estimates, retirement plan design. No part of tax planning is reserved to a CPA by law or by rule.
Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys are the three credentials with unlimited practice rights before the IRS under Circular 230. We file Form 2848 and handle exam, collections and Appeals on your behalf, in civil tax matters only.
An audit, a review, a compilation or a signed attest letter for a bank, an investor or a bonding company can only come from a licensed CPA firm. We do not do that work, we will say so on the first call, and we will point you to a firm that does.
Enrolled Agent, enrolled to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states, alongside CPAs and attorneys.
Finance training: the math behind every recommendation we make.
A federal credential issued by the Treasury Department, earned by passing a three-part examination covering individuals, businesses, and representation and procedure, and kept current with 72 hours of continuing education every three years under Circular 230. It is a tax credential and nothing else. There is no auditing section on the exam, because Enrolled Agents do not audit.
A CPA license comes from a state board and carries attest authority. Enrollment as an Enrolled Agent is federal, so the same practice rights apply in Florida, Ohio and everywhere else without a second registration. For a client who moved states last year, or a business filing in four of them, that is a practical difference rather than a talking point.
There is no audit department here, no consulting arm, and no bookkeeping shop selling tax on the side. Returns, planning and IRS representation are all of it, and every price is published: $650 for an individual return, $2,850 for an entity with the owner return included, $600 for a notice response. No hourly billing, ever.
How it works: one annual fee, half paid at engagement and half before your return is filed. Everything past the package baseline is a published add-on at a fixed price, so nobody counts forms. Books, payroll and sales tax are the only monthly items, because they are the only monthly work. See the full grid and every add-on or start your intake.
Cody is an Enrolled Agent with an MBA, a solo practitioner with a small support team, working out of Lakeland, Florida.
Every client engagement is led by Cody personally. The firm stays deliberately small so the work stays deliberately careful. The person who filed your return is the person who handles the IRS.
If yours isn't here, ask it on the intake — we read every one before the first call.
Yes. Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys are the three credentials with unlimited representation rights before the IRS. We file Form 2848, the agency deals with us, and you stop taking the calls. Our representation work is civil tax matters only; we are not attorneys, we do not take criminal matters and we do not give legal advice.
Audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures and signed attest letters, which is to say anything where an independent firm gives assurance on financial statements. If a bank, an investor, a franchisor or a bonding company asked for one of those, you need a CPA firm and we will refer you to one. We are glad to keep the tax work, and we work alongside your CPA when that is the arrangement.
It is a different credential, not a lesser one, and the fee has nothing to do with it. Our prices are what they are because they are flat and published instead of hourly, and because tax is all we do. Plenty of CPAs charge less than we do. Compare the engagement and the fee, not the letters.
Only for a reason. If yours answers the phone in August, tells you what to do before December 31, and quotes a fee you can see in advance, stay where you are. The clients who move to us are usually the ones getting an hourly invoice they cannot predict, or a return filed in October with no conversation before it.
Cody Ring, EA, leads every engagement personally, with a small support team behind him. The firm stays deliberately small, which is a constraint as much as a selling point: we cap how many clients we take so a portal question comes back in days rather than weeks.
Inside the Concierge packages, yes: books to 100 transactions a month, payroll to three people and one sales-tax state, at $675 a month on top of the annual fee. It is not sold on its own. This is a tax practice with an operations band attached, not an accounting firm with a tax desk.
If you need a tax firm, the prices are published, the intake takes about ten minutes, and the person who files the return is the person who answers the phone.
