What this site collects, and why.

Ring Tax Accounting & Advisory is a one-practitioner Enrolled Agent firm in Lakeland, Florida. This page describes what happens to information you give this website, in plain language and without hedging.

This is a description of how the website works, written by the firm. It is not legal advice and it has not been through a lawyer. If you need a formal privacy policy for a contract or a compliance review, ask and we will have one drafted.

What you give us on purpose

Three places on this site take information from you, and all three are optional:

Those submissions are delivered to the firm by email through Resend, with Netlify Forms as a fallback if that fails. They are not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing.

If you refer someone

The referral form asks for another person's contact details. Please only submit them if that person knows you are doing it. We contact them once. If they are not interested, that is the end of it, and they can ask us to delete their details by replying or calling.

What gets collected automatically

This site runs three third-party measurement tools on every page:

These set cookies in your browser and record your IP address, device and browser, the pages you open and the links you click. They are how a firm this size can tell whether advertising is worth the money. They are not used to build a profile of your tax affairs, and the answers you give the quote tool are not sent to Google or Meta.

Turning that off

You can block all of it, and nothing on this site stops working if you do:

Clients are different

Once you engage the firm, your tax information is governed by the engagement letter you sign and by IRC §7216, the federal rule on disclosure of taxpayer information by a tax preparer. In short: we do not disclose or use your tax return information for anything other than preparing your return and the services you engaged us for, without your written consent. Client documents live in the secure client portal, not on this website.

How long things are kept

Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept while they are still useful to follow up, and deleted on request. Client records are kept for the period our professional and records-retention obligations require, which is generally seven years after the engagement.

Asking us to delete something

Email cody@ringtaxes.com or call (863) 370-8115 and say what you want removed. We will do it and tell you when it is done, unless a records-retention rule requires us to keep it, in which case we will say which one and for how long.

Children

This site is for adults arranging tax services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
